With effect from April 1, 2001, we have separated the chemicals business from the consumer products business to have an added focus. We are the pioneers in the oleochemicals industry in India. As part of meeting the challenges of globalisation, we have decided to focus on international markets by going in for value-added products in niche markets.

With the de-merger of Godrej Foods Limited's manufacturing, marketing, sales, finance and other related functions into Godrej Industries Limited (GIL), effective June 30, 2001, a new foods division has been created in GIL with a national presence in fruit drinks and edible fats and oils. The fruit drinks are sold under the brand names of Jumpin' and Xs, while the edible oils and fats are sold under the brand names of Cooklite, Godrej Sunflower Oil, Godrej Groundnut Oil and Godrej Vanaspati.
