complex at Vikhroli, situated
in a suburb of Mumbai in the state
of Maharashtra, includes a fat-splitting
plant, fatty acid distillation
plants, a FA fractional distillation
plant, a hydrogenation plant,
electrolyter plants, sweet-water
evaporation plants, a glycerine
distillation plant, an AOS plant and soap noodling pant.
 The
greatest advantage that GIL enjoys,
thanks to the Vikhroli complex,
is a high level of operation flexibility.
This enables the company to handle
smaller batch sizes and, thus,
meet customers' requirements with
a very short lead time.

fractionated fatty acids. The
Vikhroli facility's production
worth was Rs 194 crore in 2005-06.
Among
the various products manufactured
at the Vikhroli facility are cosmetic
grade stearic acid; various other
grades of stearic acids; oleic
acids; speciality fatty acids;
soap noodles; ref glycerine conforming
to IP and USP; AOS in various
forms like paste, liquid and noodles.
