manufacturing facility at Wadala
is close to downtown Mumbai in
the western Indian state of Maharashtra.
It boasts a state-of-the-art
oil-refining plant, imported from
Belgium and capable of producing
33,000 metric tonnes of refined
edible oils a year.
The
Wadala facility also has a high-tech
hardening plant that can produce
20,000 metric tonnes of vanaspati
and bakery shortenings per year.
The plant has technology that
modifies fat to cater to varied
customer tastes and requirements,
from grainy products to votatorised
specialty fats.
